SINGAPORE PICTURES

Changi airport again. This time we're flying to Kuala Lumpur in about an hour. Fortunately we didn't have any hassles with my passport so far. Hopefully it will continue in the same spirit once we land in KL as well. Three days in Singapore passed kind of quickly. To sum up our time in Singapore would be: immigration nightmare (for me), night safari zoo, Jurong Bird's park, Chinatown, and a pulled muscle. I thought Singapore was a bit unusual because everyone speak 2 languages at the same time constantly switching back and forth between English and Malay/Chinese/Hindu or whatever else is their mother tongue. And it was also weird to see drama with all Asians in it speaking in English with the accent that makes you think that they are advanced ESL students.

The first day in Singapore we went to the Night Safari, and one advice for you if you ever go there, don't buy coffee there. They give you a lot but it's awful. You can see that on Katy's face on the picture below. :)

Some pictures of animals that we saw. I had to flash this cute little poor mouse deer the size of a big cat.

Katy's having fun.

The next day we went to Chinatown. There was this awesome Hindu temple, where you have to pay $3 if you want to take pictures. There are cows all over the place. See the woman-cow on the second picture? It was a ceiling mural.

Also, see this horse and a tiger?.. There was another animal next to them which didn't make it into the shot. But if you look carefully between the hind legs, you can see how excited they are.. haha~

Some of Singapore classic terraces on the street we were staying. Every terrace has different colors even some tall apartment buildings were colored into the bright red, blue, green...
Tibet monks' temple in Chinatown. Here you don't have to pay $3 to take photos. But Katy had to wrap a piece of cloth around her waist

This beautiful mandala is made by the monks.. oh.. Katy just told me that they were women. Hmm.. maybe because they are bald and I couldn't see any breasts I thought they were men... Anyways, they make it using colored powder. And when it is completed apparently they just blow it off. Some sort of symbolism that nothing's permanent.

Finally, some pictures from the Jurong bird's park. It was very good.
